Visits for Non-Ringers / Those Interested in Learning to Ring
Thank you for your interest in change ringing at Trinity Wall Street. We are always pleased to welcome non-ringers to the tower at Trinity to learn about change ringing, watch us ring, and, if they wish, begin change ringing lessons with a volunteer instructor.
To attend one of our ringing sessions, please start by creating an account on this website if you don't already have one, and ensure you are logged in.
Then from the Ringing menu, select Sessions. This will bring you to a page that lists our ringing sessions for each month. It looks like this:

Click on 'Register' for the session you'd like to attend. This will take you to a page where you can access the Trinity Church Tower Waiver. Everyone visiting the tower is required to complete, sign and submit this online waiver.
You will also see a link to our Directions and Tower Entry page (which is also available under the Ringing menu). This explains how to get into the church and tower when you arrive for your ringing session.
Click on 'Complete Registration' to finish the process. You will be sent an automated email confirming your registration, and you'll also be added to the entry list used by Trinity Security to grant access to the church and tower. Please bring government-issued photo id (e.g. a driver license) for Security to check against the entry list.
Please note that registration must be completed by the end of Thursday for sessions taking place in the following week (Friday to Thursday) — this allows Trinity to check waivers and prepare the entry list ahead of each week's sessions. So if you'd like to visit at the weekend, be sure to register by the Thursday before.
That's it! There's nothing further to do — we'll expect you at the session you've registered for.
You can register for additional sessions at any time (subject to the Thursday deadline above), before or after your first visit. Note that the waiver only needs to be submitted once per year (the annual waiver is valid from August 1st to July 31st). You can also cancel an existing registration you previously made if your plans change.
Ahead of your visit, we encourage you to read our What is Change Ringing? page (under the About menu). This may give you an idea of whether you would enjoy change ringing, although a visit to the tower and seeing everything in person will answer this more accurately.
You may also enjoy these two videos by well-known British YouTuber Tom Scott:
The first is of Tom's experience trying change ringing at Worcester Cathedral in England.
It's a little over-dramatized, but overall it gives a good introduction to what change ringing involves.

The second is of Tom visiting the John Taylor Bell Foundry in Loughborough, England, and learning what is involved in casting bells.
Our bells at Trinity Church were cast by this foundry in 2006.

If you have any questions ahead of your visit, you can use the Contact Us page (under the Contact menu) to send the Trinity Ringers Officers a message. We'll try to respond within 72 hours.
We look forward to meeting you and introducing you to change ringing!
